Yes, our roots go back to - believe it or not - the oldest insurance agency in the United States. Mr. William G. Stowe opened an insurance business in Clyde, New York in 1825. The original 1825 building is currently on display at the Genesee Country museum in Mumford, New York. Ely & Leene Agency has operated in Newark, New York since 1852.

Within the past 20 years, Mead-Maloy Agency, Inc has acquired and merged with the following agencies: George R. Maloy Agency; Robert K. Mead Agency; Lewis & Paterson Agency; Kenneth D. George Agency; and Ely & Leene Agency. We now serve over 5,000 individuals and families, along with over 650 businesses and farms in the Western and Central New York area.
